Daylilies Surprise Me Each Day

Ornamental Lilies are Not To Be Outdone

Today I am going for a walk at Dawn.  Slipping out of the house at 5:00 A.M., Camera in hand.  It is a perfect day. The light is slowly letting the evening slip away.  I love this time!  breeze is brisk, enough to make me pull on my sweatshirt.
First thing I do is free the Chickens from their Coop,  giving them free range to all my gardens and even the woods where they find so many bugs under the rich soil covered by last years leaves.
I check each garden for damage of the heavy rain we had last night.  But to my joy, everything is in tact.  The lilies are tough enough to stand a good rain.  Light is filtered into my day and gardens.  I begin to snap shots of my favorite places, keeping my eye open for a new bud, a new flower opened.

The Blessing Arch And Chicken Gate Lead Me Into The Fairy Garden.

My fairy garden has changed over the last couple years.  Instead of a groomed look it has now the almost wild look.  I let nature run the design and planting.  Throwing out its own seeds that have popped open over last seasons run.  I felt a little guilty about not getting to the area to weed.  This morning's walk about has freed all that guilt, smiling, I meander through the paths that are the only order in this lovely garden because Dick keeps the grass paths cut with the mower.
I have found weeds attract many birds.  They twitter with their songs, in flight I see the Blue Bird's oh so lovely blue and orange with a speck of white.  The little brown wren with tail streight up hops from branch to branch scolding me for getting so close to her house she has chosen to raise her itty bitty babys.  The many birdbaths in the fairy garden also draw my little friends who brighten my day.  The several  layers of growth, trees, bushes, tall flowers, medium and small give the garden an enchanting view.  I love this garden!  I feel young, happy, free of worry just walking through it.
Worrys of the day quickly disapate as I enter into my little heaven.

Rudbeckia stands tall in my Fairy Garden.  I look at it and wonder if summer has taken a giant leap while I was sleeping last night.  Thought they flowered later, more towards fall.

Climatis Bloom Abundantly On Dick's Metal Art Fence He Made Me.

I had to giggle when I discovered this red Monardia in the Fairy Garden.  Our Great God sure has done a stunning creation when it comes to flowers.  He knows how they uplift a heavy spirit, sooth a broken heart, fill an empty spot in our lives.  Oh how I love my gardens and I love my Great God even more!
