Passages.... Seasons To Cherish In Wisconsin

Passages , turning into, entry, access, route, path, trail, crossing, were
some of the Synonyms I came across in my The Synonym Finder
by J. I Rodale.  Above picture a few to choose from.
When I go wondering around our 27 acres there are many paths, entry's to choose from.  I most likely have my camera  slung on my shoulder, looking for that treasured picture I might take.  I take hundreds of photos and choose only a few I can use in my blog, emails, or facebook.  None are discarded which I do not use, but saved into a different file to be enjoyed a different time.  Winter, rainy day, a time to stir up old memories of gardens and flowers of yesteryear.  Might be a horse I use to have many years back, or a grand child who has now grown up and I am missing that chatter, fun stuff we use to share times ago when they would come over to visit Gramma.....With each moment, thought, it is a passage to another thought, action.
We are never standing still blank.

This passage leads me to the house, or taking a right turn by the tree and statue, it will lead me down to the driveway or even way down to the barn but then, I would have to go through several more passages.

Believe it or not this passage is the same as
the one above in the picture, I would be headed back the way I came from, in the picture to the house.
Complicated yes but a passage can be so many things if you look it up in the dictionary .Into or out of.  A crossing or entry.  Using passages in my many gardens makes it exciting.  You never know what you will find in the next garden.  Where will that passage lead you?  What will be in that garden?  Will it take you through to another passage?  Or will it be a big circle surrounded with perennials and a garden bench or perhaps a pedestal with a statue on it.  I even get excited as I wonder from passage to passage into or out of each garden area. I ask myself what flowers will be blooming?  Did this one or that survive the winter?

I began all this 26 years ago when we bought the land and built our home.  It was a bare hill that the farmer used for crops and grazing cows.  The lower woods was always there with aged 200 year old Oak  and Hickory trees.  My Babbling Brook also meanders through that woods.  It runs along our Southern part of the land.  Over the years trees, bushes, plants were added.  Walls built, gaits framed with pedestals, most of the construnstion was done by my husband who is so handy.  I can ask him to create almost anything for me.  The empty field and hillside slowly developed into the gardens that now hold it sacred.

The creek becomes a narrow trickle in late August during a dry season.
This year it is staying full with our many rains.  It also carries the many drops
of rain down its winding passage to unknown places miles away.

Going through this garden passage which is in the lower gardens, can be deceiving.  It looks like you might run right into the horse pastures in the open area ahead.
But as you enter, the passage pulls you to a sharp turn to the right ending up in the Fairy Garden.  The words Bless and dream you find at the passage entrance gives your mind thoughts of what might be ahead.  Bless brings joy, Dream could be a fantasy.  Emmmmm,  More enticing passages of thought of what could be ahead......  So you see our mind leads us into passages of different thoughts that lead us into the actions of our choice.  Our choice is a passage that leads us into what our lives might hold for us good or bad.  Our physical lives lead us on this earth to walk where we let our minds pull us towards.  Again complicated and enlightening to find we have control of where we go.  No one person no matter how bad it gets can make us walk the path of anger or bitterness.  The passage is a dead end.  The passage forgiveness to others and to ourselves brings our minds to a whole new and different world.  Our passages pull us to the choices we make.  Forgiveness makes it all possible and enlightens the way through the Grace we receive. When we center our thoughts (passages) to the Holy Spirit it all happens.  Joy enters as a companion on that trip, and our Dreams become Truth.

Dreams become the passage that pulls us to the lighted way. Just
as walking in the garden passage, there is excitement along the way.
Fulfillment !

Seek your passage that is best suited for you
my friends.
Blessings and Joy to you!

Nature In Love With Wisconsin Once Again!

Wisconsin Is In All It's Glory

White Tulips Opening Wide Soaking Up The Warm Sun

May is finely here in Wisconsin.  Every day as I walk about the many gardens I find new happenings.  The daffidils have receeded and let the tulips take front stage.

Dafidils are shown here in the Rock Garden on our hill.  Blue Grape Hyacinths
grace the setting with accents so stunning.

Last month we were buried in deep snow, wondering if spring would ever come.  Living in Wisconsin, nothing can be suttle.  Nature exploids into the next season spraying my life with color, warmth, and a joy that fills my heart and soul with a smile that lasts and lasts.  May is allready heading into it's last stage of its glory.  Before I know it June will see us in heat and a calmness of lazy summer days.

Snow is gone at last!  Trees are budding, fields are greening up.  Even the
horses and chickens lives have become much esier as they greet
spring with leaps and bounds.

As the sun warms the earth we reflect that inner light of The most Generous God gracing us with another new beginning.  Our hearts open to that Love and Bountiful Gift by opening our outstrretched arms in love to others.  I feel so much joy in Nature.  It seems the abundant miricle of growth catches me and swirls my own being into a song and dance as I gaze upon this amazing happenings!

My Babbling Brook is full.   The notes of its song reach me
as it swirls and caresses the granit boulders, slips under twigs, and gently
moves on towards it destiny. Colts Foot grows olong the wet edges and
will be ten feet high by August.

Lime Green Spurg (Donkey Tails) accents the red and white next to it.

Peacock has grown new tail feathers.  He struts with a new lively step, no
snow to hinder his approach to his female partner.  He is camera shy so quick to
closed his tail feathers which was fanned out only like a peacock can do.  In late summer
the tail feathers molt and in late winter they begin to grow out again, bringing
him to the point they are in now.

Virginia Blue Bells can be grown in the woods or here on the edge of a grass clearing.
The bloom in spring, and then slowly receed and dry up and disapere in summer.

Pictures are worth a thousand words, So what more can I say?
Joy, Joy, Joy

Blessings to you all, where ever you are.
